Green Chemistry Books

To develop the proposed experiments, we drew some green chemistry books or websites. Often, we have modified to make them even easier to achieve. To help you find other such examples, here are some good references. This book is not published and it is very rare to find in a library. However, one can find on the internet somewhere download . . Beware, some products used for these experiments are very dangerous. green chemistry books of Breakfast, Marie Terrien, Josette Fournier Cultures and Technology (Institut Universitaire de Formation des Maîtres), Training Collection (1998). ISBN 2-9510168-5-9. Wonderful book about a very pleasant molecules found in our daily lives. A bedside book essential for any avid chemist. This is the bible of chemists regarding the rule for naming an organic compound strictly, or to find the formula of a molecule from its name. A book lying around in any laboratory that respects itself. It includes all the usual properties (molecular weight, formulas, temperatures, thermodynamic solubilities . . ) chemicals known.
Chemistry is, with nuclear, the bogeyman of scientific progress. In our view, green chemistry books is dirty, dirty, deadly, and sometimes explosive, generally scary. And as our industrial societies have developed around the oil, chemicals are often petroleum derivatives: thus almost everything is chemistry! Yet our near future will no longer be exclusively oil. Oil, its effects and its derivatives are increasingly supervised, monitored or replaced: we hunt emissions of greenhouse gases we put under surveillance, through the European REACH program, for example, most organic compounds synthesis, some of which are long-term toxic to humans and the environment. Industrial green chemistry books is thus doomed to be soon deprive an essential basis for formulating the oil. Challenge? Not necessarily, because the chemical already known to use these constraints to progress. The era of green chemistry has opened up to multiple resources and simple principles: less fossil raw materials, less energy used, fewer by-products, less waste, less toxic, more renewable raw materials Over catalysts and more recycling. Implementing this movement, new products from innovative processes occur in our daily lives, they use carbon dioxide or supercritical water, ultrafiltration membranes and nanofiltration, refrigerants, a new kind of cell fuel, decontamination foams . . . A new understanding of chemistry: here is a new revolution in motion, turned to sustainable development. Stéphane Sarrade is a researcher at Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) in the field of green chemistry (supercritical fluids and membrane filtration). He is Chairman of the French Club of Membranes (CFM) and the Association Supercritical Fluid Innovation (IFS). . .
